3 flowering plants for ID, please.
Hi, a friend in Dundee has asked me to ID some plants for her. The first is one that looks a lot like the crown daisies (Glebionis coronaria) I have in my garden, particularly the leaves. But the flowers don't appear to have the yellow tinges on the white petals near the centre of the flower that are typical of the white-petalled variety.
The second is a low-growing, spreading plant with small yellow flowers that also looks to be in the daisy family, and which I feel I should recognise.
The last is a double-headed purple flower that appears to be a bushy perennial.

1st one is a tender margeurite, possibly argyanthemum foeniculum.
Last one an osteospermum, possibly tresco purple.
Two options (not identical) for number 2: melampodium paludosum, or, if the
flowers are bigger than the former, zinnia marylandica (like 'profusion').
Hi soulboy, i agree with fitgetbones on number 1 and 3, and the middle one is sanvitalia. It is often sold as an annual trailing plant, but makes a lovely edging plant too. Although it is classed as an annual, it will overwinter outside if not too much frost. It is not evergreen so you may think it has died off, then it starts growing again early spring. Pretty little plant.
Thanks everyone. Marguerite was the one I couldn't remember, which I should have as I have plenty in my garden, although it's often hard to tell between them, the chrysanthemums, corn daisies, and marigold varieties.
Also after researching the suggestions of DW and Norfolkdumpling, and looking at enlargements of my friend's photo', I'm sure it's a Sanvitilia. I think it's Sanvitalia speciosa 'Million Suns'. Everything fits for this ID, whereas the Melampodium has quite different leaves, is a lot taller (24" - 36") and is a mounding rather than a spreading plant. Thanks again for everyone's help, my friend will be very pleased.
