sweet gum trees and foliage colour

We have 5 yr old sweetgum that was fab for the first few years,no w it just goes, green yellow bare, forgets to go red, any suggestions?

    Interesting , hadn't factored temperature at all, an d a sheltered spot would exaserbae I guess.. Thanks v much
