Is it a Gaura of sorts?
Does your company sell plants, that is very pretty, but I dont suppose it would grow in this country.
Let me try to write "portuguenglish"...
Lyn,
I sell this plant to my clients in Northern Portugal . When you come on holiday to Oporto , I 'll give you a plan ! This herbaceous , even here, does not survive outside when winter is more rigorous .No chance here then, its a beautiful plant though. It has yellow flowers as well as the striking coloured leaves.
although they may die with the low temperatures, it is with the arrival of colder weather that its leaves are redder an brilliant.
Antonio,
I think it's Alternanthera ficoidea 'Tricolor'. It might be another cultivar though. Alternanthera species are also known as Parrot Leaf or Joseph's Coat.
Thanks Flowercild.
I will check if it is, whether there are similarities... However, I attached a photo of another plant which i dont know the botanical name (will be the last of my current " collection "). It is a mid-size shrub, evergreen.. the photo is the current week.Thank You. (can then send the bill...)
After some (painful) research, I came across Serissa japonica variegata 'pink fairy',
though the bark colour seems diferent.
DimWit, I think you should change your name
'cause it looks like that's the right answer!! Good find
