    Let us know how they get on - it's a long time since I've grown spring cabbages, but that looks a nice variety - I may be tempted another year - if the pigeons and slugs behave themselves!

    Watch out for slugs when you put the plants outside - and when you take them back into the greenhouse check the bases of the pots for slugs that are hiding under there - you don't want to take slugs into the greenhouse with the plants! image

    Just thought I'd let you know that I was tempted - and succumbed!  While I was at the GC this morning I bought a small tray of 10 HIspi cabbage plants.  I've planted them in the raised bed where the courgettes were earlier in the season and I've sprinkled a few of the safer slug pellets around and a few chicken manure pellets.   I shall keep an eye on the pigeons, but it's likely that I'l be putting some netting up very shortly! image
