Any ideas what this tree is - it has insignificant white flowers, followed by these berries, and turns a lovely yellow in the autumn.  Could well be a self seeded one.

    Morning chicky

    Can you get one of those fruits and open it up and see the arrangement of seed or seeds inside? and the distal end of the fruit as well

    Ok nut - will go out with the penknife this evening. I have some spring pictures of it aa well if that would help at all?

    Ok - finally been around in daylight - so here are some dissected berries.  I also "had a sniff" - not a strong fragrance, but the vague hint of plumimage

     There are two or three big seeds per berry - and the seeds are nearly as big as the berry itself

    I should know what that is chicky but I think dementia is moving inimage
