Bless you, Norfolkdumpling.....I wasn't putting you in your place. xx
I just wanted to say that getting hot under the collar about this issue makes not one iota of difference and cat owners on the whole are well aware of these fouling & bird killing issues.
I absolutely adore dogs, although I don't have one.....but that's another story.
Always wonder why cats can't be genetically modified to lose their terrible killing instincts so distressing to everyone not to mention the birds. Jellyfishcan be crossed with carrots or some such for some good reason.
Is suggest you watch the recent BBC series in cats on i-player. Fascinating stuff.
I have just one cat now and 2 dogs - a Wheaten terrier and a Labrador and all rescues - and just get on with their pooing and hunting tendencies just as I get on and deal with slugs and weeds as appropriate. All part of nature's rich mix.
The terrier is particularly helpful in the garden - digs lots of holes I don't really need in her pusuit of moels and rodents. The Labrador chases flies and butterflies and lies next me, squashing treasures while I work. The cat likes to come and chat as long as the dogs aren't there too.

Cats have to poo somewhere, just wish it wasn't in the wrong place! A bluetit for a cat is like a chicken for us. Cats aren't the only ones with killer instincts. Humans have been pretty awful through the centuries.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I was hoping to get a dog sooner but I put it off til now as my nephew got married couple of weeks ago and I felt I couldn't be away for a whole day with a new dog. I now have my sisters golden wedding "do" on Nov 1st so another day away. Anything after that I'm staying at home! So am hoping to start things moving in next couple weeks so it should hopefully be sorted early Nov.... and no it won't be just for Ch......s (Can't write that word yet). Will let you know how things go.

And if a human poo'd or committed murder in my garden I'd be very annoyed with them too ......
