I need it to root
It's just because I like them and they are useful but I'm trying to get the stem with the leaf 2 root
If it's possible
Daisy do you have a lot of nettles to clear
Must say I don't think Doc leaves are as available near nettles as they used to be.
No I don't have any in my garden but I went on a walk and found one but I will let everyone know how I get on anyone else no it works?
Collect some seeds from wild docks and scatter them where you want them - they'll germinate quite happily and next year you'll be asking us how to get rid of them.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Ok I'll have to try that next but for the time being I'm stuck with a cutting of one
I really don't think that leaf is going to take root.

daisy100, please don't think I'm being nosey, but why you are so keen to have a dock in your garden? There must be a reason, but I cannot for the life of me think of one. I love most wild flowers, but dock is one of the few I don't encourage to grow in my garden.
But good luck, and I hope you have success with your propagating.
Thanks so much I want one cause I like the leaves and they are a very usefull plant to treat stings
