New gardener - moss help!

Hi all

I am a novice gardener. I watched videos on G.W and so have

- weeded (took hours)!

- aerated

- scarified

- mowed

- sown seed

- added top soil and sharp sand

i now have black dead moss - what do I do with it? what do I do after all the above work?

help appreciated

    Hi Rachel. Compost or bin the dead moss. Leave the lawn alone now. Let the new seed germinate. You deserve a rest now. Let nature take over.image

    Thank you! I keep looking at the grass, which is a bit odd!

    Do not compost the moss. It will survive to spread moss everywhere.
