Gardening Christmas Present

Hello Garden world!
My mother really enjoys gardening but is developing worsening arthritis in her knees making it hard for her to kneel down, or more specifically, making it hard for her to get up.
I was looking to get her a gift for christmas that would make her gardening a little more enjoyable by helping her get up and down. Is there any products out there that you would recommend for someone who has trouble getting up and down to their flower beds?

Well, raised beds immediately spring to mind, although a tad expensive for a Christmas present. Meantime, if she doesn't already have one, these are a boon:

Welcome to the forum.
Thanks for the reply David. I have seen stools like that while I've been browsing around but I was hoping to find something a bit higher quality.
I'm struggling to find anything that would actually help her get up reducing the strain on her knees. I was hoping someone on here could put me in the right direction of a product like that.
Any help is much appreciated though!
Did you see all the products? http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=kneeling%20gardening%20frames (or is that the same page)
I have one and it really does help you to get up by pushing on the upright metal sides.
Thanks lizzie, so you would recommend this product for someone with sore knee joints?
I do like how that product is reversible to be a stool and kneeling pad, the tool pouch is an added bonus
Callum, with respect, a little improvisation with a cushion may be required. I can confirm that they are very well made & sturdy and well up to the job.
Edit: Perhaps a piece of thick foam rubber?
Hi Callum, this one is the new one that i think was being used on Beechgrove garden on TV the chap using it was a good 12 stone plus, its a seat and kneeling pad and looks strong and simple avalook and good luck

BL, if you scroll down on your link, one of those costs £259 plus carriage !!! It looks much the same as the others!!! I'd want the kneeling pad to be made of mink and for it to come equipped with a jet pack to lift me up for that money!!!

What you need is a sit on wheeled box http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-25357-Truck-Gardeners-Roller/dp/B00AZHGMLO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412949151&sr=8-1&keywords=wheeled+sit+on+box
or a garden stool on wheels http://www.amazon.co.uk/Garden-Stool-Wheels-Gardening-Seat/dp/B002TI9FXE/ref=pd_cp_lp_1
Hi callum, I have arthritis too and have one of those kneeling stools in the links provided by David K and Busy-Lizzie.
I can confirm that they are sturdy, and are comfortable for a short period of gardening. I use a foam pad on top of the kneeling pad if I have to use it for longer than about an hour.
My arthritis is in my spine, both SI joints, both hands, both feet, and more recently although not officially diagnosed yet, in both elbows and my knees and right hip are just starting to get painful now.
The sides of the frame are very useful as handles to help with both getting up and down when it is used as a kneeling pad. The frame when used as a stool is a good height for sitting on. Mine is currently inside my plastic mini greenhouse and is the perfect height for working with my plants on all of the internal shelves.
I do get very sore if I sit for too long though, so have to get up and move around every half hour.
