My camellia is in a pot in the garden and is covered in buds. Is it safe to leave it out over the winter, maybe covered in fleece when it's very cold, or should I put it in the greenhouse?
Should be fine outside - they are tough plants, despite their exotic appearance. The victorians grew them in greenhouses for years before they realised they were hardy
Just found this post and answer. (Never bee on any forum BEFORE) but have got three camellias all with buds and I am going to be away for 6 weeks until beginning of December do I need to do anything with them extra?

Thank you both for your help.

Good Morning
Many apologies for not replying sooner, have been away. Camellias still O.K.
No, my camellias are in 3 pots, but I do know I have them positioned away from the morning sun and out of direct winds.
Best regards

Many thanks Verdun.
