unidentified plant

image

Hello fellow gardeners...I'm usually pretty good at identifying plants but this one has me stumped. It has appeared as a rogue interloper as I didn't plant it...any ideas?

I don't know but it's kind of menacing looking!

Salvia of some description. Possibly S. turkestanica.

  • Wow, that looks amazing! It could be some form of Salvia?

Definitely Salvia sclarea turkestanica. That is the bud waiting to extend and for the flowers to appear.

  • Comparing it with images of the above mentioned salvia, this one's leaves look a fair bit different, more rounded at the tip and more succulent-looking. Also the flowers don't seem to open fully, they stay at the stage in the picture, so I'm looking at all areas of the salvia...

  • Thanks for your help guys...everyone is always so helpful on here image

Looks like the scaredy cat plant, Coleus canina. Usually planted to keep cats away because they don't like the smell of it.

It's not a salvia, wrong manner of growth

Looking at Fleuurisa's link and other images I think that's what it is
