Kathy Kirby died around four years ago, I saw her several times in the local night club and she really could sing.

    Frank.

  • Bob Flowerdew, GQT, Question, "When is the best time to take cuttings?"

Bob's answer, "When no-one is looking!"

..I remember Kathy Kirby too, perhaps a British version of America's Doris Day, although I'm not sure if Kathy did much acting.... she sang a cover version of Doris's 'Secret Love' which included the lines....''Now I Shout It From The Highest Hills, Even Told The Golden Daffodils''...

...love that Bob Flowerdew quote above...lol... and so true...

Are you wanting quotes  for photographers etc separately

    Is this any good?

It pleases me to take amateur photographs of my garden and it pleases my garden that my camera makes my garden   professional!

My favourite - oh so true -

"Q: How do you tell if it's a weed or really expensive plant?

A: Give it a tug. If it stays in the ground - it's a weed. If it comes up really easily it's expensive."

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Got a great laugh from Dahliance quoting Cicero, recommending a camera!

  • From Rumi, wonderful as always.     "Every blade of grass has an angel that bends over it and whispers,  "Grow, Grow"

  • Hester, yes but nowhere near as funny as grandma's gardening is cheaper than therapy quote, had me in fits of laughter that one! Brill.

I would hate to imagine how much therapy does cost in that case, with the amount I spend on gardening! image

  • Good point, Dahliance!  When I think of all the clematis I've bought, that have gone to God, I feel a spot of cognitive behavioural therapy coming on.
