Bay tree

My bay tree is 4 feet high and I keep it in a large pot. Over the past two weeks I have picked off dozens of leaves that have turned dark brown. In many cases the leaves turn colour at the tip end whilst the rest of the leaf is still bright green - until whatever it is gets it.

What can I do?

Are these brown leaves at the growing tips or within the bush? Leaves of all evergreens turn brown and drop off eventually, but the growing tips stay green. If the new growing tips are healthy looking you're OK

  • be careful not to have it in an area exposed to frost or severe drop in temperature.I have one that's in the soil and survives because it is sheltered.image
