What can I do to revive this shrub

I planted an Australian mint bush in spring, it was doing well until recently and now looks very sorry for itself. I've been watering it but haven't put any compost around it. I'm not sure what happened, we haven't had any frost.

Its been watered regularly, its in a shaded area and maybe doesn't have the best soil. I've cut back a bit of dead wood at the bottom, is there anything else I can do? Should I move it? I really liked it, thanks!

  • Thanks I've moved it to a pot and put it in the greenhouse. I even removed the side hedge to give the spot where it was planted more light but I'll look for a shrub that likes shade.
