Problem with squirrels

Please can you suggest how to stop squirrels eating my fruit. I have dwarf fruit trees in the garden - pears, eating apples, cooking apples, cherries, plums. I had a lovely crop this year and the squirrels ate them all!! I need help to stop the squirrels having a feast. They have also enjoyed the strawberries but I covered the fruit with chicken wire which helped and I managed to get a good crop this year.

Jack Russell terriers are good at scaring them away and occasionally catch them.
I love squirrels! But after they tore two Japanese acacia tree's to bits for fun, I understand you, grins. Chilli powder - they hate it. Used to buy it by the huge bag in one of those large Asian cuisine stores that are around and it worked a treat. Only problem was when it rained.
