No, no, no, Don't get goats! They will eat everything except what you want them to eat. I had one once that used to trim my pony's tail!! Mind you, the pony used to trim my rose bushes and yes they both get fed properly.
I agree with Obelixx, costs less to do it yourself. We weed n feed and scarify the lawn ourselves, and it looks alot better than the gardens either side of us who have gardeners.
I think Denise said 20 pounds a year. Correct me if I'm wrong, though. This is not a high price at all. Nevertheless, you can ask your service provider if they do more than feeding and scarifying..
Some of the folks are right that you can do the job on your own, but you will have to sacrifice some of your free time.
The lawn is looking good now, I let them come and air rate and scarify recently they also sprayed with a moss killer and some stuff to green the lawn, now Ive cancelled them, they rang me to say they are upset Im leaving and when I told them the cost is far too high they said..."we visit twice in spring and summer once in autumn then once in december so over the year isnt expensive" !!!
You're right to avoid goats - they prefer shrubs to grass - but geese would be very happy cropping and fertilising your lawn, and think how much you could sell them for at this time of year!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

No, it was 20 a month! A lot to pay for 3 visits a year.
