Could someone please advise me which moss killing product I should be using prior to scarifying. I am not sure whether to use a shop bought weed/feed mosskiller or if anyone would like to recommend a 'recipe' for making their own, that would be good. thankyou

On moss I used an Arthur j bowers one last year and it worked a treat. Not the most expensive brand but very good. A also use treatments from good old wilko's. Always get good results with their stuff.
On the scarifying front, I used a good take-away and complete control of the TV remote for one night; worked a treat on getting my other half busy with the rake!
Soon as the rain comes it'll recover Pauline. If it's a moss killer then that's all you've killed, and the grass will grow in and cover the bare bits. Worst case is that you might have to reseed a bit in spring if it doesn't cover well enough. Don't worry about it too much.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
