Hi Mike, no, not arranged with anyone though you can book a tour guide.

It's open to the public everyday, though possibly not Sundays except for members.

It's within walking distance of where I was brought up, we used to take picnics though that will be frowned upon now I'm sure.

It's certainly not a private trip and you'd be most welcome to join us

I want to go to Lynford Arboretum near Thetford Forest as I want to find out about their composting methods. I'm thinking about going on October 5th so that I can meet the Thetford Forest Volunteers who run the place, to pick their brains when they have their tea break at 10.30 a.m.image If anyone wants to meet up there, just let me know.

There are other Sundays I could go instead.

I'll think about that one artjak. Is that at Lynford Hall?

Nut, yes very near but not part of the Hotel(?) I think as it is run by volunteers. You could come to me first and I will drive us there.image

  • Sounds great - we went there years ago and we were very impressed - I think it's worth making the trip just for the garden. I would love to see any pictures you might take?

  • I'm sure there will be pics Sylvia image
