Tip bearing Apple tree

Hello there 

first I want to apologise if it am posting in wrong thread it my first time here we planted a apple tree bought from a local garden centre a while back it fruited about 5years ago some what late ripening in November then I pruned back about 4 years ago and it never bore fruit again and when I read carefully pruning technique it was too late to learn about the tip bearing fruit tree,

we have about 5 Apples this year my question is will the tree ever fruit in abundance again appreciate any answers thanks
