That will be little green caterpillars just search and pick them off. Remember to put them on the bird table.

I cut back my geraniums this year for the first time and had a second flush of flowers also the plants look lovely and healthy for the autumn. So thanks for the advice - cant remember who gave it to me now - could have been you Verdun.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • I'm having the same trouble with my geraniums (pelargoniums).   But I can't see any caterpillers.    Leaves on some of them look like lace.

update:   ahem,  I've just had a look and saw a tiny green caterpiller.   Too small to pick off.   Must have been those pretty butterflies!

  • Thanks guys for advice!it's a good place here!;-)
  • My geraniums have been eaten as well, thanks for the advice.

Its usually only one or two on each plant, not easy to see but they are there!

I have stocks as well Verdun, only small at the moment, I will keep an eye on them. Thanks.

Ps. I keep a pair of eyebrow tweasers for such jobs.
