Succulents & Sedums
in Plants
I am quite new to gardening and this year had great success growing flowers from seed. I would like to create a succulent / sedum wreath, but don't have much budget and wondered how long - realistically I would be waiting for a reasonably sized succulent / sedum to grow.
Does anyone have any experience growing these from seed?

I do. The seeds of Sedum are incredibly tiny. They ideally should be sown in Spring. and they do take a fair while to get to a decent size plant. Better idea would be to find someone with a patch of Sedum and beg a lot of pieces. They root easily.
my local garden centre are selling them off cheaply currently. I imagine you could take several cuttings from one plant.
I hope there's some left by the weekend as Ive got myself a large jar I'd like to grow a couple in.
I have grown mixed houseleeks from seed - they germinated by the thousand and I've been giving them away ever since
most people have sedums and they root really easily - ask around
the dark leaved ones are harder to come by, but I picked a couple of pots up l;ast week in the GC for £1 each in the chucky-out bin
