Can you identify this plant?

Hello,
A friend located elsewhere in the UK has just sent me the following picture asking if I know what it is, unfortunately I am at a loss, can anybody help? I did originally think that maybe a Buddleja had self seeded itself but I'm not sure. As you can see it is full of ladybirds and butterfly larvae but is is growing out of a wall and isn't sure what to do with it.
Thanks.

Some sort of Euphorbia possibly?
foilage looks like crinodendron hookerianum, if those flower buds grow into the lanterns, then maybe it's that....
..yes, agree with that, Crinodendron... the flower buds will open next May... surprised it's growing out of a wall... needs acidic conditions...
Thanks everyone
