I have, after many failures, at last found out how to keep and grow orchids. I have one large leaf that is turning white. Is this a problem, because it doesn't look like a normal dying leaf?

Yes it is exactly as you say. It is an absolute white stripe along the length of an otherwise green leaf. They live in the conservatory, and I spray them often. That is probably the reason. Thanks Pansyface!
