When to move Salvia Amistad
I'm really pleased with my Saliva Amistad, but it's in the wrong place.
It's nearly 7ft tall now so need to move it further back in the border.
I'm sure they said something about this one on GW last week, but I can't remember what 
It's a big plant in all respects - maybe too big to move??

I'd take some cuttings now, and then if it doesn't like the move, you have spares.
Thanks for the advice. I took cuttings a couple of weeks ago.
I'll do some more to be be safe. I'll wait a while then move it. I may keep it frost free in the g/house overwinter. I'll see how well the cuttings take

Thank you Verdun, I have Salvia Amistad too, but it's nearer 4' than 7'. Wasn't sure what to do with it.
Hi folks ! I have managed to get my cuttings of Salvia Amistad to root , but not sure where to keep them as I don't have a heated greenhouse or garage, any suggestions welcome , many thanks!
I took cuttings in sept and have kept them in my little unheated g/house. So far so good-

They look great Pete. I regret not taking cuttings from mine!
They rooted in no time and I'm not renowned for looking after plants too carefully. Couldn't be easier.
I keep the little g/house frost free if/when the frost arrives, so hoping for a good salvia forest next year!
