image

Hi all

i have 3 plants I would like to identify, 2 of then came from an annual plant seed mix, the bright blue pansy type one and the one with almost spikey green bits like a fir tree and small white flowers. and the 3rd plant has not flowered yet but aparently it could be a Verbena? i planted it in spring but lost the label for it months ago.  Any help would be brilliant please.

  • The blue one is a convovulus- I have one called blue ensign.

Don't know no 1. 2 does look like a verbena but I wouldn't like to say for sure...

I have one like the third photo; the seed packet said 'dwarf Morning Glory' but I don't think it is related to M. G. at all; I think Vic is rightimage

    2 is a Verbena I reckon.

1 I have never seen anything like that beforeimage

  • Fantastic, that is 2 out of the 3 identified, just the white one to go...

thank you so much for taking the time to reply peeps!

The blue one is definitely dwarf morning glory (Convulvulus tricolour), I have lots in my wildflower border.

I hope we get an ID for the white one, it's beautiful,

  • I wonder if the white one is some kind of Phlox? The leaves are very fine, not seen one quite like this before.

The white one looks like a type of Jasmine, but not sure which one.

  • Dave - in the photo of the white flower, I can see some large leaves in the background.  Do they belong to the same plant, or does it just have the very divided leaves on the flowering stems?

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • It's really pretty. Would like to know what it is.
