Another Knifofia question

I Just bought a Knifofia which I intend to use in a sun soaked hot border I'm creating for next year. I notice that it has a main growth with a number of smaller growths around it.

Can I divide it now before planting up so I get two or three plants for my modest investment or is that going to be a recipe for disaster?

  • My book on propagating plants says to divide in mid to late spring to allow roots to develop.  Not sure if now would be too late.

  • Hmm. Yeah, I've had a look around too and info seems to be spring division. Reckon It'll be better to get it in the ground and give it a season to get settled before messing it around.
