what to do with unwanted plants

I have 2 photinia in my back garden I planted a couple of years ago when i had nothing else to cover my new fence. Now my honeysuckly and clematis are taking off i dont want the photinia anymore but dont know what to do with them. They are in excellent condition and very healthy so would be a sin to waste them and let them die...any ideas?

In some areas leaving them on the pavement would find them a good home quickly, otherwise I would speak to a local charity who would put them in their next auction/plant sale.

I organise plant swaps in work sometimes! Usually spring time, but would be good in autumn too.

  • My local Oxfam shop often has plants for sale - why not ask your local charity shops if they want them?

  • Thank God other gardeners have my problem too! I can't even PAY people to take them.

  • Unwanted plants are also a big problem for me. Because before two months my lawn is full of unwanted plants. That time i have just hire a specialish person to get rid from this problem...
