The flowers and berries look a little like very large fuchsia flowers. The shrub is a couple of metres high, and although it must have been in the garden for years, only blossomed like this after I removed another very vigorous shrub from around it. Can anyone help me please

Alan is that chocolate vine as in Akebia quinata? I can't tell from the photo.

LOTS of leaves, not a lot of flowers and swamps everything in my experience
