Unwanted plants

We recently bought a house, whose previous owner was quite green fingered and had a large variety of plants growing throughout the garden.  Very pretty.  However, we have young toddlers and their only requirement of a garden at the moment is grass where they can kick a ball around.  Our challenge is therefore to get rid of the plants.  We understand that many of these are quite exotic/rare.  Does anyone know of a forum/website where we could offer them for sale, with the purchaser coming to dig them up themselves?

You could try a local gardening club.

    Where are you?

How about a 'Garden Plant'  sale at your house.  Pot up any plants and price them and any that have to stay in the ground provide a spade/trowell for a 'dig your own'.  Advertise in your local shop if you have one or the newspaper.

  • What about Gumtree or Preloved, it's free to advertise.

Ceiros - I live near Ealing and could pop round with my own spade at your convenience?
