Can anyone tell me what to do with hollyhocks in autumn? Will they flower next year?

They are perennials so they should come back next year, I normally cut down the flowered stem once it's finished. I don't know what others do, you'll get suggestions no doubt.
When the seed heads are really dry, you could harvest the seeds.
Many thanks for all your replies. I have harvested some seeds and will cut them down as suggested.
