Powdery mildew on honeysuckle

Hi. We have a well established honeysuckle frowing on a trellis to hide a shed, it is approx 8'x8' it has succumbed to powdery mildew, due to lack of water I suspect, it affects leaves & stems. At this stage of the year should I still treat with a spray (myclobutanyl ?spelling) or will it die off over the winter? Sorry if this sounds such a daft question. It is fairly exstensive, to remove the affected bits would be a bit like chopping it down!

  • I would remedy the watering and mulch well with leafmould/garden compost.  Feed with Fish Blood and Bone in Feb.

Try to gather fallen affected leaves and burn.    I'm sure it;ll recover.  If you see growth next year that has died back you can take that out then.
