Hi Tracy, last year i spent literally ages looking at ALL types of lawn mowers as we needed an ordinary one for our new lawn ( moved house ) we ended up with a sale offer from Home Base , a Qualcast ,Brigs and  Stratton self propelled  20 " petrol easy start  mower,i was and still am for a bit not able to use it ,so my O/H kate does all the mowing ,i know you said about £100 and this was £199  But it is a really great little mower,Kate finds it a doddle to use she was worried about the self propelled bit but now she wouldnt change it , it does a great job and picks up all the grass or chops it Would i buy another YES ,maybe worth a look at H/Base

  • If you buy a petrol mower look for a Honda or Briggs and Stratton engine I had a cheep mount field mower with a cheep Chinese engine and it fell apart and it worked out cheaper to replace it rather than buy the parts and fix it my self. Even after a service it was rubbish.
