how much to chop

Morning all, We inherited a few very large not sure which Honeysuckle and a 10 x 8 foot lovely Fuchsias bush,(Pics) as usual Honey suckle nothing low down, can i really chop back clean up,  and still get it to grow up high again to give us privacy. ,The Fuchsias this summer has grown 3 feet away from the fence it now has thickish branches and much too high, dare i cut it back to the fence and down to the top of the fence again for privacy, its not much flowered im told untill a FBB and Comfry wake up call it got when we arrived seems, i might have overdone the feed a bit as 12 feet is a bit much , but the flowers were stunning, can i start cutting heavy in Spring please many thanks all,

I have a hardy fuchsia which I cut down to 3-4 feet every few years in the winter. Grows like billy-o!. At the end of last year I cut down an old honeysuckle to a couple of feet. It has grown a lot this year. So my answers would be yes for both. Cut down either at the back end of the year or in the spring.

Yes, give them both a severe cut, I'd be inclined to do it in October as that is when I tend to do all mine, I'm always afraid that if I do it is Spring I'll lose all the flowers - though with the fuchsias that is very unlikely as they really are as tough as old boots.  In some milder areas they are used as hedges and trimmed with hedge cutters like any other hedge, and still flower like mad.  Not so certain about the honeysuckle - no experience with that.  Feed and water, feed again in the spring and off they will go.
