benches

Hi, I am fairly new to having a garden and I'm learning a lot. I'm still working out what I'd like in my flower beds and what trees I'd like to plant. Something else that's occurred to me is seating. I've thought it might be nice to have somewhere permanent to sit down, so I've looked into benches and I've stumbled upon sleeper benches. These are made of oak, are simple in their design and are (in my opinion) beautiful. Does anybody else have these and what do they think? I found them on www.sleeperbenches.co.uk. I would like some feedback before I decide to buy a couple.

Benches can look really stylish but they don't offer much comfort do they?image

  • I think these ones look nice, stylish. Has anyone got one? I think they turn silver in time. I just fancy something other than a traditional park type bench

They look lovely christmasboy so go and treat yourself image

  • Wow they're amazing!
  • Not useful as a seat but pretty to look at
  • I think I would try and sit on one! I like the look of the hairy third one. The good thing about those sleeper benches (never knew they had a name before now) is they wouldn't end up covered in spiders/webs at this time of year. My arbor is virtually unusable at the moment so I'm relegated to my backless stone bench.

Have you got ideas of where you want to put them in your garden christmas boy?

  • I was thinking probably 1 in each corner. That way I'll have somewhere to sit whilst watching my kids play (assuming I'll get a chance to rest!)
  • The steps picture above is superb
