bit of work done today, lots of tulips and daffs in there for the spring i hope that the lavender will have grown massively by then then though

That looks great
The lavender will have grown a bit by next summer, possibly not much by early spring. It has to be cut back after flowering each year so that it doesn't become too straggly - but don't cut back into the old wood.
