Unknown paeony
in Plants
Can anyone identify this lovely paeony in my garden? The label is long gone. It's a species, not a hybrid, it flowers in April and has amazing seed pods. For some reason, I ca,t post the photo of the seed pods at the moment, I'll try again later.

Hi Chris, White sands is a cultivar of something, probably P. lactiflora. This is a species but I don't recognise it, sorry landgirl

Had to reduce the size, so not so clear.
Nut, it was a short specific name but I just can't remember it. Will have to go through lists!
P:. rockii is a possibility.
Yes, I looked at that but it has dark red blotches at the base of the petals, and mine is pure white. It might be P. obovata var. alba. I think I was given it as P. emodii, but it doesn't look like that either. It needs moving to a less shady position, it's struggling a bit where it is.
The leaves on P. obovata are more rounded than the ones on this to my mind.
Still a mystery then!
