I often find Muscari (grape hyacinths) put up leaves in the autumn, a long time before they're going to flower.
But I think the early summer and recent cool spell may have deceived some plants - my wild primroses are flowering!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Ah yes. The beds were full of purple bobbly flowers last spring so I think your Muscari theory is spot on! Thanks dove
Dove - my primroses have never stopped flowering!
Last year lots of daffs and crocus were poking through early. They settled down as the weather got colder though Lulu.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've got Ipheion (spelling?) pushing through in a pot.
