Dads are brilliant, and mums are pretty cool too...
What is it about dads that makes them so amazing? A 'delightful' little darling decided to throw a missile from the pub garden next to my back garden and smash a large sheet of glass in my greenhouse. Dad measured up, ordered the glass, collected it, paid for it and finally, despite me doubting it was humanly possible, fitted it! How on earth he got it in without taking the greenhouse apart is beyond me. I was convinced it wouldn't fit in. He is simply BRILLIANT! Especially given he's 76 and has terrible arthritis in his hands too.
My mum is beyond cool too. She just has a nack of making everything look lovely, clean, tidy and homely.
I am one very lucky gardener x

Have been out to have another look this morning and am still in awe of how he did it!
i hope if I ever get to be a mum I'll be half as practical as they are! Definitely from a family of grafters.
I feel your pain being near a pub. The people who use the garden are particularly obnoxious in the local one here too. my poor OH had to go round the other day at 2AM and beg them to shut up or go home, the pub is supposed to close at 11:30. *sigh*
Good of your Dad though!
