I know not to water it much and that it lasts about 2 years then pup's? ( I THINK MAYBE?) but the flower is going slightly black ( maybe to much N?) and if you zoom in on the leaves there a little brown in the middle ? can anyone help please??

Matthew - I've managed to look at your picture - your plant looks like one of the bromeliads - probably an Aechmea chantinii or Zebra plant.
