Hi This year I planted tomatoes amongst asparagus (to stop asparagus beetles) The result has been :no beetles, when before I nearly lost all my asparagus plants and no blight on the tomatoes. What a result! I know what to do next year.
I grew Crimson Crush this year and the plants were amazing and the tomatoes were the tastiest ever and NO blight. Have never had such a crop of tomatoes and I picked the last tomatoes off the plants about a week ago and made Green Tomato Chutney and Green Tomato Pickle, totally delicious. I also grew Tumbling Tom and they are still giving even though most of the leaves now look dead. I will grow Crimson Crush again next year.
Having had my second attack of greenhouse tomato blight in 4 seasons, next year I'm intending to have Ferline, Sweet million and Scarlatto. all allegedly disease tolerant, but I'm not sure if that includes blight.resistance..
Also what is the best product or homemade mix to clean out my greenhouse and kill of any spores?

I grew Losetto (bush, cherry-type) which are supposed to be blight resistant. I had a great crop, with little or no blight until well into September.
Very little blight this year - only on the late fruit of a plant bought as a Russian Black but it was obviously from saved seed as it was a cross.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
