My daughter in law found these eggs in a plant pot and wondered what they were. They are the size of small beads about 4 to 5 mm across and at first I thought they may be ants eggs however not sure if these are a little too big, any idea's anyone?
Hi Tina: definitely not ant - those pictured are slug eggs and should be 'outed' for the blackbird etc to enjoy! *Ant eggs are generally sandy coloured, smooth like 'sugar strand' cake topping (less colourful & tasty, though).

slug or snail I would bet
That would be my guess except that all those I find in pots are shiny white. Or maybe I miss the ones that aren't.
In the sticks near Peterborough
They are slug/snail eggs, freshly laid, they turn opaque after a day or so, so very fresh.
