Dropmore scarlet
I have a honeysuckle 'dropemore scarlet which has been around for about 3/4 years largely neglected. I've had some success reviving it this year but it has never been pruned. Should I treat it as if it is it's first year or not cut it back as far.Also. am I right to think pruning should be done in February ?
TIA

As Dropmore Scarlet flowers on new growth I would prune it right back in the early spring - Feb would be fine. Then do the same annually - that way you should build up lots of branching growth low down for the new growth to grow out from (if you get me) and it'll be covered in flowers every year. A good mulch and it'll be vine

Thank you.
