Rasberry Problem.

I have a couple of rasberry bushes planted in containers last year.  They have produced probably 50+ fruits beteeen them this year.

However the leaves, especially the lower ones have been practically skeletonised.  Can't tell what it is - it's not slugs.

Any advice please ?

Never come across this one despite having grown raspberries for a few years.  Have a scrabble around in the top inch of soil and see if you can find any creepy crawlies?

A common pest of gooseberries, sawfly, can completely defoliate the plant but I've never heard of them on raspberries.
