My gladioli has developed a white mottle appearance on flower loss loss of colour on the petal I think it is thrips, will this mean the bulb is infected and no good for saving to next year or is there something else I can do.

Thrips only infect foliage sharon, so the bulbs will be ok for next year. Soapy water can be sprayed on to try to control them.
