I've been lucky enough to travel to Muslim countries, Hindu countries , Buddhist countries and Christian countries. I've met good and bad in all of them and I'm sure none of that good, or bad, is due to their religion, or lack of it.
When I went through a very difficult time a few years ago, nearly all the people who stood by me and helped (and still are helping) were Christians, despite me being a devout atheist. I have a lot of time for them too, obviously; I just don't hold with the supernatural-being-that-created-the-universe-and-did-other-miracles stuff. And believing things in spite of admitted evidence.
And most religions (with, I think, the notable exception if Sikhism) hold that theirs is the only true religion. If any of them are true, there are going to be a lot of disappointed 'souls' at the pearly gates (or equivalent).

Thank you both
