Topbird has it in one. The seeds are required for planting over the Easter weekend / school half term holiday and then we'll be keeping in touch with our young horticulturalists with advice and encouragement as well as updating them with our own plants we'll be growing at the museum before hopefully getting them to bring some of their produce for pumpkin carving in October!
Bekkie - we don't really have the space for composting I'm afraid. I'm hoping my wormery will be able to keep us well supplied if a local garden centre can't be convinced to donate a broken bag.
I'd just like to say thank you to you all for all your support.
I wonder if you could have a sort of joint venture with some schools, lots now have gardening at school and may be able to help by donating just a little of what they have- just a thought, not really familliar with schools or museums im afraid!
Thanks Bekkie - I'm doing a teachers open day in November as we've some new exhibits opening (I'm very excited about them) so I'll raise it with them then and see if there are any schools interested in joining in a dig for victory and perhaps venturing into a few more vegetables.
David - thanks for the link I've only looked quickly but it looks fantastic!
Lyn, that would be really kind of you! I'm sure the more variety we have the more we can inspire kids into gardening and if nothing else help them learn that food doesn't always xome from Tescos!
Thanks, KEF. I found the site a few years ago and have really enjoyed the information it contained. The leaflets & information are genuine, as issued by the government at the time.

You are still welcome to the seeds
Clarington - I found this 'earthly pursuits' website ages ago and I'm sure you will find it as fascinating as I did. http://www.earthlypursuits.com/AllotGuide/DigforVictory1/DigForVictory1_1.htm
Please keep us updated with this project

That link is great David.
I'm sure Clari will find it interesting she is keen on veg growing.
Clari I'm sure I'll have some pots you can have. I'll check my seeds I think I have sunflowers lurking in there.

Clari, if you let me know your address in a PM, I will post the seeds off, any others you want, listed in the wish list and seed swap thread?
Thank you Lyn. When my ability to pm returns I shall be sure to get in contact!
Lyn you have a PM
