Oh Philippa, I am very much an amateur LOL, not had quite the successful year I wanted but have learnt lots and will carry those lessons forward to next year when I will no doubt add to my knowledge again
I know Obelixx is right and wouldn't dream of bring anything back from tropical counties as I am well aware of the risks.......but there are ways of telling people without calling them 'thoughtless'.......dim sometimes yes but thoughtless never

AWB, I've grown allium and eringyium maritimum from seed I brought back from Corfu. And the owner of the apartment block dug up a chunk of fabulous coral pink canna and it's doing very well.
