When best to plant out small hydrangeas?

Hi experienced gardeners! In

Feb/Mar this year I began some hydrangea cuttings in a glass of water and potted them on in soil etc. and now they are about 30cm high- still with thinish stems but thriving well and putting on new growth. Should I put them in the ground now (August), or should I keep them in pots and overwinter them in a cold frame to then plant out next spring?

Thank you

I would wait until next Spring when they will put on rapid growth.
