Feed birds

Sunflower hearts are good for year-round feeding - no mess, and no germination under the feeders.  Lots of species seem to like them - finches, tits, woodpecker, nuthatch.  I can't feed big birds cos I have to use squirrel-proof feeders or the food all goes in a morning.  (Woodpecker's beak is long enough to reach the food though.)

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I thought that might be a problem Yviestevie but I can't feed them at the gravel end of the garden anymore as I keep chickens down there and I don't want them sharing bird germs!
