magnolia problem

can anyone help, my magnolia susan failed to flower for the first time in 5 years, it then grew its leaves but these are now covered in black spots can anyone give advice

    Are these black spots a pigmentation or do they wipe off ?

    Has it been pruned at all?

    thanks for coming back to me, the spots do not wipe off and i have not pruned it since i bought and planted it 5 yrs ago? should i have done?

    Could you post a photo of one of the leaves?

    About the pruning-no not necessarily

    thanks, will try but not very good at downloading photo's on my new computer, which is an imac,if not will try on my old computer which is microsoft vista.
